Brooklyn Rapper Smoove'L Caught With Loaded Gun: Report

Police stopped Smoove'L early Tuesday and found a loaded Ruger after he ran a red light in Bed-Stuy, according to a report.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Up-and-coming rapper Smoove'L got busted in his home Bed-Stuy neighborhood with a loaded gun, according to a report.

Smoove'L, whose real name is Lefty Sanders, 19, ran through a red light Monday along Marcus Garvey Boulevard's intersection with Greene Avenue, Page Six first reported.

NYPD officers pulled Sanders over and claimed they smelled marijuana, Page Six reported. Police searched Sanders' SUV and found a loaded Ruger, according to the report.

Sanders gained a following on Brooklyn's drill scene. He recently inked a deal with Interscope Records and his Twitter announced his new project "Boy From Brooklyn" drops May 1.

Court records state Sanders faces a felony loaded firearm charge, a felony criminal possession of a firearm charge and three misdemeanor counts.
