Torturer Still Free Months After Brutal Bed-Stuy Attack: Cops
Raymond Smith put a towel over a woman's face and mouth in August, poured two water bottles onto her, then tried to choke her, police said.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Cops are still searching for a man who brutally attacked a woman in a Bed-Stuy home three months ago.
Raymond Smith, 34, attacked the 28-year-old woman on Aug. 14 in a residential building near Patchen Avenue and Fulton Street, knocking her to the floor and emptying two water bottles over her after he put a towel over her face and mouth, police said.
Smith punched and kicked the woman, choked her and banged her head against the floor before fleeing the building, police said.

The woman was taken to Interfaith Medical Center and treated for bruising on her face, neck and chest from the incident.
Police announced this week that they identified the man as Raymond Smith and are asking for the public's help to find him. Smith is described as standing about 6'2", weighing 200lbs, with dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a black shirt. He is known to frequent areas in the vicinity of the 67, 73, 81 and 83 NYPD Precincts, police said, which span roughly from East Flatbush, Brownsville, Bed-Stuy and Bushwick.
