Bus Driver Attacks Cop In Bed-Stuy Dispute: NYPD

MTA bus driver Rolando Vargas faces criminal charges after attacking an NYPD officer in the 81st precinct Tuesday night, police said.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN -- Cops arrested a city bus driver for attacking a police officer during a domestic dispute, according to the NYPD.

Rolando Vargas, 41, was arrested in Bed-Stuy's 81st Precinct at about 10:20 p.m. Tuesday night and charged with intentionally injuring a police officer, resisting arrest, assault and harassment, police said.

Vargas is an employee of the Metropolitan Transit Authority, whose agency spokesperson did not immediately respond to Patch's request for comment.
