Convicted Murderer Stabbed Woman In Bed-Stuy Home: Police
A woman ran nearly naked, covered with blood and with a knife broken in her chest from a Bed-Stuy home, according to reports.
BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A convicted murderer stands accused of trying to kill a woman in a bloody knife attack inside a Brooklyn home, authorities said.
Israel Navarro, 65, will appear in court Monday on attempted murder and assault charges, records state. Police arrested him after a violent Jan. 31 incident at Hancock Street apartment in Bed-Stuy.
A woman, 32, ran bloodied and nearly naked from the apartment, the Daily News first reported. She had a knife blade broken off in her chest, the Daily News reported.

Medics took the woman to Kings County Hospital, authorities said. Police on Monday didn't have any information about her current status.
Navarro served five years in prison for a 1980 manslaughter conviction, prison records state. His release didn't last long — in 1988 he started decades-long prison sentence for second-degree murder, according to the records.
