Cops Searching for Apple Bank Bandit

Police are asking the public's assistance in tracking down a bearded man who robbed an Apple Bank on Flushing Ave. over a year ago.

The man walked into the bank located at 414 Flushing Avenue on January 1, 2011 at 12:20 p.m., demanded cash and ran off with an unknown amount of money after the teller handed it over, cops said.

The same person is believed to be the man who robbed another Apple Bank on Albany Ave. in Crown Heights twice last year—once on February 1 and another time on June 23.

Cops described the suspected bank robber as being a black man between 45 and 50 years old, standing between 5-foot-11 and 6-foot tall, weighing between 150 and 180 pounds and sporting a salt and pepper beard.
