“THE MENTORING RENAISSANCE”, the theme of this year’s event, will tap into the energy, creative expression, and revitalization that defined The Harlem Renaissance and redefined a generation. This unconventional, special event will be used as a platform to reach across the arts to inform, enlighten, and formally call many to action, on behalf of the African-American children on the organization’s waitlist. In doing so, the 200 members of Bigs United aspire to harness that same spirit of renewal to galvanize a community of old and new mentors behind this very dear mission.
Capitalizing on the Brooklyn arts movement, Bigs United will bring its mission to life with a Black Arts Showcase highlighted by the inspired and powerful thought leadership of the organization and the keynote speaker of the evening (TBD).
