Third Annual Fundraiser For The Arts

The Third Annual Fundraiser For the Arts Program at PS 3 will be held on Saturday June 2nd at 1.00 p.m.

This event needs your participation to help all the students who benefit from the Arts at PS 3. We need your support so that we can continue to provide our children with quality education which includes the Arts. 
At PS 3, we provide a thorough arts and academic curriculum to your children but many of our arts programs are not funded. Much of the afterschool work with children at PS 3 is done on a volunteer basis.This years program features more music and arts from all grades at PS3. There will be several groups performing including The Bedford Village Ensemble under the direction of PS3's music teacher Mr. Ahmed Abdullah, the Orchrestra of St Luke, a dance and poetry performance from a group of students organized by Ms Ellis, and a Funky Jam by Teaching Artist Mr B. There will also be a fashion show.The performance will be in honor of poet Louis Reyes Rivera and Ms Harper both of whom lived in the neighborhood on Hancock Street and provided tremendous service to PS 3. 

Please support us in continuing this work at our school in the face of major cuts and the need to really champion the arts as a major contributor to learning and the education of our children. Parents,alumni, teachers and friends are encouraged to come out to support the arts and a holistic education for children at PS3!Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children and donations are welcome. There will also be vendors and refreshments will be on sale.
