Classes are offered after school and all day on Saturdays. In addition to onsite classes, YAA provides arts training and professional development workshops in theater, dance, and music to over 1,200 students and teachers at Brooklyn-based public schools through its Arts In Action community outreach program. For students interested in pursuing dance professionally, YAA offers a pre-professional curriculum package and holds auditions for its Youth Dance Company, which performs professionally throughout New York City and abroad.

Students learn discipline, respect and artistic excellence in a supportive, creative environment. Unique learning and complementary performance opportunity for YAA students includes DanceAfrica, which is hosted in partnership with the Brooklyn Academy of Music. YAA students are routinely accepted at renowned performing arts high schools; some go on to professional artistic careers on Broadway and film. To learn about YAA programs, call (718) 636-6995.
