G Train Service To Be Suspended 4 Nights Next Week, MTA Says

G train service will be suspended between Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and Court Square from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for four days, beginning Monday.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — The G train will shut down between Bed-Stuy and Queens four nights a week for the next two weeks as the MTA works to repair tracks and clean stations, the agency announced Friday.

No G trains will run between the Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and Court Square stations from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. next Monday, June 5 through Thursday, June 8, the MTA said in an advisory.

The nightly shutdowns will continue in the same locations and on the same schedule from Monday, June 12 through Thursday, June 16.

During the shutdowns, free shuttle buses will run between Bedford and Nostrand avenues and Court Square and will make stops at the Myrtle and Willoughby Avenues, Flushing Avenue, Broadway, Metropolitan Avenue, Nassau Avenue, Greenpoint Avenue, and 21st Street stations.

Stranded straphangers can transfer from the shuttle buses to L trains at the Metropolitan Avenue-Lorimer Street, 7 and E trains at the Court Square station, and G trains at the Bedford-Nostrand Avenues station.

The MTA also announced that no 7 trains will run between Queensboro Plaza and 34th Street-Hudson Yards from 11:45 p.m. Monday, June 12 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 13.

While G train service is suspended, MTA workers will clean the tunnels, replace track, and repair electrical infrastructure along the line.

The stations will also get quick makeovers that include fresh coats of paint as well as repairs to damaged signs, lights and platforms.
