Gang Members Indicted For Multiple Shootings Across Brooklyn, Prosecutors Say
Nine members of the Loot gang have been named on a 69-count indictment, Brooklyn prosecutors announced Tuesday.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A slew of Brooklyn gang members that prosecutors believe killed an innocent college student and shot 14 others have been arrested and charged with murder, according to prosecutors.
Nine alleged members of the Brownsville-based Loot Gang have been named in a 69-count indictment and charged with causing one death and 14 injuries in Bed-Stuy, Bushwick, Jamaica and Fort Greene, the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office announced Tuesday.
Loot gang member Quincy “SK” Vital, 19, stands accused of murdering John Jay college student Terrell Henry, 22, on Aug. 12, 2016 in rival TBO Gang territory on Wilson Avenue and Covert Street, prosecutors said.

Vital came to the area armed with a .357 Magnum called “Becky,” and was allegedly “spinning the block,” or looking for someone in the rival gang to shoot, said prosecutors.

Henry, who was not affiliated with any gangs, died of his injuries, prosecutors said.
Earlier that summer, Vital and his alleged accomplices — Earl “Bloccz” Gilbert, 22, Maurice “Maur” Ellis, 20, and David “Spazz” Burston, 21, — grabbed “Becky,” hopped into a grey Mazda and went on a Fourth Of July “spinning” spree that ended with one man shot in the abdomen, and the violent end of an outdoor party in Bed-Stuy.
Ellis fired into the crowd gathered outside 419 Chauncey St. around 11:30 p.m. and shot four women and three men.
Another gang member, Dylan “Banga” Cruz, 25, allegedly shot Tysheen Gott in the restaurant Rico Chimi at 80-01 Atlantic Ave. in Jamaica on Feb. 20, 2016, said prosecutors.
Cruz then used a 33-year-old woman to shield himself from a retaliatory shooter, who hit the woman three times in the left leg and Cruz in his legs and groin, prosecutors said.
An undisclosed number of defendants were held without bail after an arraignment Monday in Brooklyn Criminal Court on a 69-count indictment includes charges of conspiracy, murder, and weapons possession, according to prosecutors. The remaining defendants are expected to be arraigned this week.
The defendants, whose are between 15- to 25-years-old, could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted of the top conspiracy count, prosecutors said.
