BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A disturbing video released by the police this week shows at least six young men beating up a 12-year-old as he curls up on the floor of a Brooklyn deli.

The attack happened around 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 13 inside a Deli/Candy Store on Marcy Avenue, according to police.

The six suspects can be seen in the 25-second video hurling shopping baskets, soda cans and punches at the 12-year-old victims while he lies on the ground. Finally, one of the boys stomps on the pre-teen before the six run off, according to the video.

Police said the 12-year-old suffered bruising to the head but refused medical attention at the scene. They did not specify what provoked the attack.
