Hangry Bed-Stuy Bagel Fan Charged With Assault, Cops Say

Edilberto Burgos stands accused of hurling merch at a Bushwick deli worker who didn't prepare his bagel in a timely fashion, police said.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- Let's hope they have good bagels in jail.

Police arrested the irate bagel aficionado who hurled a metal bell and bread at a Brooklyn deli worker who did not provide him with a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich in a timely matter, according to the NYPD.

Edilberto Burgos, 24, was arrested in Bed-Stuy Thursday morning for attacking a 28-year-old worker inside Hi Mango Natural Market on Flushing Avenue and Vandervoort Place on Nov. 25, police said.

Burgos was captured weeks after police released video that shows him pointing and shouting about the sandwich delay.

"Make my s--- right now," the man reportedly shouted.

Burgos, who lives on Myrtle Avenue in Bed-Stuy, was charged with assault and menacing, police said.
