Help Needed In Finding Suspects Wanted In Robbery String: NYPD

Police say that the two men are believed to be involved in four incidents, two of which took place earlier this month in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN – The New York City Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in the apprehension of two male suspects police believe are involved in a string of robberies earlier this month, including two that took place at Bedford-Stuyvesant businesses.

According to police, the two male suspects are described as being Black, between 30 and 40 years of age, 5-foot-9 and weighing 160 pounds. The men, police said, are suspected in four robberies that needed less than $600 while the other two left the suspects empty-handed, police said.

The two most recent incidents took place in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Sept. 4. Police said that the two men entered a hotel at 1 a.m. in the 1100 block of Atlantic Ave., where one of the men simulated like he had a firearm. The suspects escaped with personal property belonging to the clerk totaling $160, police said.

At 4:50 a.m. that day, the two men entered a bodega at 7 Kingston Ave.m when again, one the men acted like he had a gun. The males demanded money, but the clerk refused before the suspects fled on foot.

In two previous incidents on Sept. 3, police said the suspects followed the same pattern of behavior at a bodega and restaurant on Franklin Ave. and S. Portland Ave., respectively, and demanded money. In the first incident, which took place at 12:30 a.m., the men fled with $400 in cash. The second attempted robbery took place at 7:55 p.m, but the men were not able to secure any cash after an employee confronted one of the suspects. No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
