Man Hit Crossing Street In Bed-Stuy Dies In Hospital, Cops Say
A 55-year-old who was hit by a car crossing Rockaway Avenue died two days later in the hospital, police said.
BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A 55-year-old man who was hit by a car crossing the street in Bed-Stuy died in the hospital two days later, police said Thursday.
Police found the man, who has not been identified, lying in the road near Rockaway Avenue and Somers Street just before 7 p.m. on Saturday. He was rushed to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition, but succumbed to his injuries two days later, police said.
Police said that the man was trying to cross Rockaway Avenue "outside of a crosswalk," though there isn't a crosswalk available across Rockaway Avenue," when he was hit by a 2012 Nissan driving up Rockaway. The 29-year-old driver stayed on the scene after the crash, police said.

Police said there are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
