Man Shot Dead Outside Bed-Stuy Housing Development: NYPD
A 24-year-old man was fatally shot in the leg and groin outside the Brevoort Houses on Friday night, police said.

BEDFORD, STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A man who was repeatedly shot in the leg and groin outside the Brevoort Houses died from his injuries Friday night.
The 24-year-old man was standing with friends outside the public housing development at 331 Patchen Ave. around 10 p.m. Friday night when he was attacked, said police.
The shooter, who has not yet been arrested, shot the 24-year-old repeatedly before running away, said police.

The 24-year-old was rushed to Kings County Hospital with bullet wounds in his leg and groin, and later died from his injuries, said police.
The young man was one of five homicide victims to die in New York City over the weekend, police said. A Crown Heights man was shot dead outside a bodega on St. John's Place and three others were killed in Manhattan, Queens and The Bronx.

The deaths of three other people — including a woman found on the bank of the Gowanus Canal and a 10-day-old baby in The Bronx — are also being investigated by police.
