BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — A man was shot outside of a public housing complex and elementary school in Bed-Stuy on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

Emergency responders rushed to the corner of Marion Street and Patchen Avenue just after 3 p.m. and found that a man had been shot near the intersection, which sits between P.S. 21 and the Brevoort New York City Housing Authority complex.

The man was sent to Kings County Hospital and might be in serious condition, an FDNY spokesperson said. Police said the man will likely survive the shooting.
