Man Who Beat 65-Year-Old To Death In Bed-Stuy Arrested, Cops Say

Leonard Barber, of Brownsville, was charged Thursday with the murder of Mack Wilson, said police.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Police arrested the man accused of beating a 65-year-old to death in his Bed-Stuy home last month.

Leonard Barber, 35, has been charged with the brutal beating of Mack Wilson, 65, whom emergency responders found unconscious in his home on the corner of Monroe Street and Malcolm X Boulevard at about 1 a.m. on March 2, said police.

Medics rushed Wilson to Woodhull Hospital but doctors were unable to save his life, police said.

Barber, who lives in Brownsville, was arrested on Thursday and charged with a single count of murder.
