Michael Jackson Lookalike Robs Bed-Stuy Deli, Police Say

The thief wore a single white glove and a bright red jacket.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A Michael Jackson-inspired robber wearing a single white glove and the singer's iconic red leather jacket leapt over the counter of a Bed-Stuy bodega and grabbed $1,000 in cash, police said.

The gloved one — clad in a red jacket and a single white glove — burst into the market on Jefferson Avenue near Marcus Garvey Boulevard around 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, jumped over the counter and began pulling money out of the register, police said.

An accomplice pulled out a gun and ordered three bodega workers to lie down on the ground while the apparent King of Pop aficionado grabbed the money before both men fled, said police.

Surveillance cameras captured footage of the pair, whom police describe as slim men in their late teens and about five-foot-eight.

The Michael Jackson look-alike wears a red jacket with black shoulders — similar to the one Michael Jackson wore in the Thriller video — black pants with a white stripe and a single white glove. His accomplice wears a gray hoodie, black pants and black sneakers.
