Middle-Aged Bed-Stuy Man Paddled In Fraternity Hazing, Cops Say
A 45-year-old fraternity pledge said he was paddled about 200 times in a Bed-Stuy brownstone, according to police.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A 45-year-old man told police he'd been paddled 200 times as part of a Brooklyn hazing ritual.
Tory Gates, 45, said he was hoping to pledge Omega Psi Phi, a college fraternity, inside a Marion Street brownstone on Dec. 7 when he was blindfolded and beaten, police said.
The painful pledging process left the 45-year-old bruised enough to merit a trip to Mount Sinai Hospital and a call to police, the New York Post reported.
