North Carolina Man Charged With Murdering Bed-Stuy Deli Worker In 2015, Police Say
Daniel Moore was charged with murdering Rafael Pujols in the Las Vegas Grocery in 2015, police said.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Police have arrested a North Carolina man for the fatal shooting of a Bed-Stuy bodega employee in 2015.
Daniel Moore, 46, stands accused of murdering Rafael Pujols, 49, in the Las Vegas Grocery at 54 Howard Street on Jan. 25, 2015, police said.
Surveillance cameras captured footage of Moore — a six-foot-tall, 275-pound man wearing a black mask and hoodie — limping into the shop, pulling out a silver gun and demanded cash from Pujols around 4:30 p.m., said police.

Moore then shot Pujols in the stomach and left without robbing the store, police said.
Emergency responders rushed Pujols to Brookdale University Hospital but doctors were unable to save his life, according to police.

Moore, of Clinton, N.C., was arrested Thursday night around 5:10 p.m. and charged with murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon, said police.
