One Man Dead, Another Shot In Foot On Bed-Stuy Corner, Cops Say

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — One man was shot dead and another blasted in the foot during a shootout in Bed-Stuy Sunday night, police said.

A 28-year-old man was shot in the head, stomach and right arm on the corner of Utica Avenue and Fulton Street at about 11 p.m., police said.

Emergency responders rushed the unidentified man to Interfaith Hospital but doctors could not save him, said police.

Two hours later, a 24-year-old man walked into Kings County Hospital with a gunshot wound on his right foot, police said.

He later told investigators he had been injured in the Utica Avenue shooting, police said.

Police had not released the name of the dead man as of Monday morning and the investigation remains ongoing.
