Police ID Citi Bike Rider Shot Dead In Bed-Stuy

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN -- Deshawn Smart, 47, was the Citi Bike rider shot dead outside a Bed-Stuy housing complex this weekend, according to police and reports.

Police found Smart shot in the chest near the Marcy Houses at Marcy and Park avenues shortly before 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Smart, of Red Hook, was found lying next to the Citi Bike he was riding, the New York Post reported.

Police had not made any arrests as of Monday morning.
