Rapist Knocks Out Teeth Of 52-Year-Old Victim In Bed-Stuy: Police

Police are looking for the man who attacked a 52-year-old woman behind a Saratoga Avenue apartment building Monday morning.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A woman was raped by a man who wrapped a belt around her neck and knocked out her teeth in Bed-Stuy Monday morning, police said.

The 52-year-old woman was attacked in a parking lot behind an apartment complex at Saratoga Avenue and Halsey Street around 3:15 a.m. Monday, said police.

Her attacker coiled a belt around her throat, slammed her to the ground, punched her face and kicked in her teeth, then raped her, police said.

When a garbage truck pulled into the lot, the woman was able to pull herself free from her attacker, said police.

The man ran away down Halsey Street toward Saratoga Avenue, police said.

Emergency responders rushed to the lot and took the injured woman to a nearby hospital where she was treated for cuts and the broken teeth, said police.

Police released surveillance photos of the suspect — whom they describe as a 5-foot 2-inch tall man in his late twenties, weighing about 120 pounds, sporting dreadlocks and a green and orange jacket — early Tuesday morning.
