SEE: Man Fires Off Flamethrower From Roof Of MTA Bus In Brooklyn

Cops are investigating a wild video of a man using a flamethrower on top of a bus in Bed-Stuy, the NYPD said Tuesday.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Brooklynites waiting at a Bed-Stuy bus stop last week got a bizarre and dangerous show, according to reports.

A video of a man blasting off a flamethrower from the top of an MTA bus meant to be a Wu-Tang tribute music video has gotten the attention of the MTA and NYPD after it circulated on social media.

The strange incident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 at the intersection of Putnam Avenue at and Franklin Avenue, according to the New York Post.

Videos show the unknown man on the roof of an ice cream truck before he hops on top of a B26 bus that had stopped at the street corner. The man fires off his flamethrower as a crowd of onlookers cheer and film, the videos show.

He eventually hops off the back of the bus when it starts moving.

The music video was set up by local rapper Dupree God, who invited people to join him at the corner for free ice cream, t-shirts and champagne, the New York Post reports.

MTA confirmed there were no permits for the shoot.

“We don’t even need to say how absurd, dangerous and just plain stupid this was,” MTA spokesman Tim Minton told the Post. “The reckless individual who torched over the top of an occupied bus put New Yorkers, including the bus operator, in life-threatening peril.”

No injuries were reported on the bus and the 25 passengers were moved to another bus at the next stop, the agency said.

The NYPD said Tuesday that it is investigating the incident.

Earlier, the NYPD's union, the Police Benevolent Association, Tweeted out the video with the since-deleted message, “NYC is NOT safe YOU are being lied to."
