Spandex-Clad Thief Is Stealing Wallets From YMCA Locker Room in Bed-Stuy, Police Say
Police are looking for the woman they believe has been lifting wallets, IDs and charge cards from lockers.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — A spandex-wearing tattooed woman has been lifting wallets from unsecured lockers at the Bed-Stuy YMCA and has made off with more than $900, police said.
The suspect first stole a 32-year-old woman’s Herschel wallet from the women's locker room at 1121 Bedford Ave. on June 13 around 5:40 p.m., then charged $174.50 to her victim’s debit card, police said.
Days later, a 28-year-old woman discovered her wallet had been picked clean of her ID, charge cards, a $20 and a Nordstrom gift card worth $438 on June 18 around 12:15 p.m., said police.

The thief struck again on July 6 around noon when she stole a 24-year-old’s credit card and used it to buy $262.74 worth of goods from M & S Bargain Hunters on Fulton Street and the A & Z Deli on Nostrand Avenue, said police.

The woman next stole a Kate Spade wallet from a 23-year-old on July 9 around 2 p.m. and used one of her victim’s credit cards to make a $20 purchase at Mr. Gates Deli at 393 Gates Ave., said police.
The woman then lifted a 42-year-old’s ID and credit cards on July 15 around 2 p.m. and a 71-year-old’s wallet on July 22 around 4 p.m., said police.
Police describe the suspect as young woman with tattoos on her left arm that run from her shoulder to her elbow.
