Straphanger Punches Out Man In Bed-Stuy G Train Station: Police

Police are looking for the 300-pound man who knocked out a fellow subway rider in the Bedford-Nostrand Avenues station on Saturday.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — An angry straphanger knocked out another subway passenger during a fight in a Bed-Stuy station Saturday, police said.

The suspect and a 53-year-old man began arguing in the Bedford-Nostrand Aveneus G train station near Lafayette Street around 3:20 p.m. on Feb. 17, said police.

The suspect suddenly began punching the 53-year-old in the face until his victim blacked out, police said.

The puncher fled the station and the 53-year-old man was taken to Woodhull Hospital for treatment, said police.

Police released photos of the suspect — whom they describe as a man standing 6-feet 2-inches, weighing about 300 pounds, sporting a salt-and-pepper goatee, baseball cap and a hoodie — on Wednesday night.
