WATCH: It's So Hot in Brooklyn That Power Lines Are Catching Fire

OK, just one. (That we know of.) But it was insane.

A power line in Bushwick caught fire on Monday night, according to photos and videos from the scene.

Nobody was hurt, thankfully. But a bunch of Brooklynites who were drinking at bars near Menahan Street and Wyckoff Avenue took the opportunity to run out into the street and catch the spectacle on their cellphone cameras. Also thankfully.

FDNY press are having trouble finding an incident report, so they can’t explain what exactly went down.

From the look of things, though, midnight rolled around and that power line was just like — it is way too hot out here. I give up. And we kind of feel his pain.

Last night’s flaming power line, predictably, caused some outages in surrounding buildings. Con-Ed still shows four of them as blacked out on Tuesday morning, with an estimated restoration time of 7 p.m. Hang in there, guys.
