1 Dead in Construction Accident at Gap Inc. Distribution Center
The accident occurred in a section of the facility that was being demolished because of a fire.

FISHKILL, NY — A construction accident led to the death of a worker at the Gap Inc. distribution center in Fishkill.
The incident happened Saturday afternoon in an area where demolition was taking place, according to an article at the Poughkeepsie Journal.
Demolition was occurring because of the Aug. 29 fire that destroyed a building at the distribution center.

About 600 people worked in what was called Building 100. The entire center employs about 1,300 people.
The New York State Police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives determined that the fire was intentionally set.

No arrests have been made.
