Approaching Storm: More School Districts Canceling Activities in Mid-Hud Valley — UPDATE

The Arlington Central School District, the Beacon City School District, the Newburgh Enlarged City School District and the Red Hook Central School District have canceled after-school activities for Monday, Jan. 23.

The Beacon Board of Education meeting has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Jan. 26.

The Wappingers Central School District has canceled all after-school activities, as well as the Board of Education meeting for Monday due to the approaching storm.

More Mid-Hudson Valley schools have announced early dismissals and activity cancellations Monday as the nor'easter approaches.

Per WHUD.com:

Ellenville Central School - Ellenville: Note: Middle school and high school are dismissing at 11am, and elementary school is dismissing at noon.

Minisink Valley Central School Dist. - Slate Hill: Note: Middle school is dismissing at 1pm, high school at 1:15pm, elementary schools and intermediate school at 2:25pm, and all afternoon and evening activities have been cancelled.

Onteora Central Schools - Boiceville: Note: Afterschool activities cancelled.

Pine Bush Central School District - Early Dismissal – Pine Bush: Note: Crispell Middle at 10:10am Circleville Middle/High School at 10:30am Elementary Schools at 11:30am

Pine Plains Central School Dist - Pine Plains: Note: Middle school and high school will dismiss at 12:45 and elementary school at 2pm.

NEWBURGH, NY — As the nor’easter approached the Hudson Valley, schools and organizations are beginning to announce early closing and cancellation of afternoon activities.

The following are according to WHUD.com:

Ellenville Central School - Ellenville: Note: Middle school and high school are dismissing at 11am, and elementary school is dismissing at noon.

Hayes Day School - Early Dismissal – Millbrook: Note: 12:30 Dismissal

Millbrook Central School Dist Incldg.Dutchess Day School - Millbrook: Note: Middle and high school will be dismissing at 12:30pm. Elm Drive and Alden Place Schools will dismiss at 1:15pm. All afterschool activities, including the board meeting, are cancelled.

Pine Bush Central School District - Early Dismissal – Pine Bush: Note: Crispell Middle at 10:10am Circleville Middle/High School at 10:30am Elementary Schools at 11:30am

Washingtonville Central School District - Washingtonville: Note: All afterschool activities and PM BOCES are cancelled.

Orange County Early Intervention & Preschool Progr - Goshen: Note: Bus Transportation for all Preschool & Early Intervention Half day PM session has been cancelled.
