Area Roads Slushy, Public Transportation Faces Delays

The latest snow event has delayed the opening or forced the cancellation of many area schools.

However, road crews are out making sure transportation goes as best possible.

In Westchester County, Bee-Line buses and Paratransit vehicles are running with 30-minutes delays, due to the snowstorm.

Standard snow detours are in effect for Routes 8, 30 and 60.

Westchester County Airport is open and operating normally, but passengers should check with individual carriers for specific flight information.

There are reports of snow and slush on on the parkways, so caution whiel driving is urged.

In Rockland County, TOR buses may be delayed up to 15 mintues all all routes due to road conditions Friday morning.
