Bedford, Area Firefighters Battle Second Fire in the Village Tuesday

Bedford Hills firefighters, hours after extinguishing a blaze at Buxton Gorge Farm, battled a second fire in the village Tuesday afternoon, this one at a home on Guard Hill Road.

No injuries were reported, and the only person in the home at the time was a contractor who noticed smoke and called the fire department, according to The Journal News.

The cause of the 3:45 p.m. fire is being investigated. Personnel from multiple area fire departments were called to the scene for assistance.
