Bedford Free Concert Series Coming to a Close Saturday

Duchess Di troupe drops the curtain on Small Town Theater Co.'s summer season.

Duchess Di and the Distractions will headline the Small Town Theater Co.'s final free-admission concert of the summer Saturday at Bedford Village Memorial Park.

The show, fourth in the summer series, opens at 4:45 p.m. with a performance by the WSW Saxophone Quartet, the saxophone section for the Westchester Symphonic Winds.

Duchess Di—band leader and vocalist Diane Cricchio—will lead her troupe onstage at 5:30. Their performance—jump, blues, and swing—also describes the eight-piece band's unique musical blend of compositions that span the rich heritage of the '30s through the '60s.

Bring your picnic blanket or lawn chairs and enjoy the show. It will be repeated at the same times Sunday at Wampus Brook Park in Armonk. If it rains Sunday, the show will move indoors to the Hergenhan Center, next to the park.
