Beth Davidson Announces New Endorsements from Key Westchester Democratic Committees and Officials

Beth Davidson’s campaign for Congress in New York’s 17th District has announced new endorsements from across Westchester County, consolidating her status as the Democratic front-runner against Republican Rep. Mike Lawler. Davidson now has over 250 endorsements from grassroots organizations and community leaders, more than any other Democratic primary candidate.

The latest endorsers include the Bedford and North Salem Democratic Committees, Westchester County Democratic Committee Second Vice Chair Bruce Campbell, Somers Democratic Town Committee Chairwoman Christine Robbins and former Westchester County Legislator and NY State Assemblywoman Sandy Galef.

“Beth Davidson has decades of experience serving her community, and a legacy of fighting for our most vulnerable," said Bedford Democratic District Leader Kevin McAvey. "She is a skilled listener and tireless coalition-builder with the temperament and track record to win this election and deliver for our district.”

"I'm so grateful for the endorsement of the North Salem Democratic Committee," said Davidson. "Together we will elect Katherine Daniels to Town Supervisor and re-elect Erika Pierce to the Westchester County Legislature."

"Assemblywoman Galef is a champion for clean water, public schools and voting rights, and I'm so proud to have her support," Davidson said, noting Galef served Ossining for 13 years on the Board of Legislators and both Northern Westchester and Putnam Counties for 30 in the NY State Assembly.

Davidson, the only Democratic candidate in the NY-17 congressional race who has won previous election campaigns against Republicans and holds public legislative office, is currently an elected Rockland County Legislator and former Nyack School Board Vice President. A thyroid cancer survivor, she and her husband, Jeff moved to Nyack 20 years ago, where they are raising their two children, both of whom attend public school.

New York’s 17th Congressional District includes all of Rockland and Putnam Counties, northern Westchester County, and part of Dutchess County.
