Bedford Hills Inmate Accused of Throwing Cup of Urine at Guard

The incident is alleged to have occurred in March of this year.

Shahesa Carvalho, 41, an inmate at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, was arrested Thursday on a felony charge of Aggravated Harassment of an Employee by an Inmate for allegedly throwing a cup of urine at a guard, according to state police.

On December 4, 2014, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Somers Barracks arrested Shahesa Carvalho, 41 years old, of the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, for Aggravated Harassment of an Employee by an Inmate, a Class E Felony.

On March 31 2014, Troopers were assigned to assist the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision with a harassment complaint. It is alleged that Carvalho, an inmate at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, threw a cup containing urine at a corrections officer.

In November of 2014, the case was heard before the Grand Jury, who indicted Carvalho on the above charges. Carvalho is scheduled to appear before the Westchester Supreme Court on December 11, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.

The New York State Police were assisted by the NYS DOCCS Office of Special Investigations.
