Bedford, Lewisboro Election 2017 Results

Election Day was Tuesday, Nov. 7.

BEDFORD, NY — Voters in Bedford, Pound Ridge and Lewisboro went to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 7 for the General Election. There were a number of races to be decided, including a state Supreme Court justice and the next Westchester county executive. Also, there are state proposals and locals races that were decided.

All results are unofficial.

Westchester County Legislator District 2 (Bedford, Lewisboro, Mount Kisco, North Salem, Pound Ridge, Somers)
Incumbent Francis Corcoran Jr. (R, C, I, REF) was defeated by challenger Kitley S Covill (D, WEP, WF). Covill received 8,212 votes to Corcoran's 6,614 votes.


Bedford Town Council (choose two)
Incumbent MaryAnn Carr (D, I, WEP, WF) and Kate Galligan (D, I, WEP, WF) received the most votes. Kyle Carleton (R, C, REF) and Mary Ellen Devey McLaughlin (R, REF) were also on the ballot.

Bedford Proposition 1: Open Space Preservation tax levy — APPROVED

The final tally was 2,704 votes in favor and 1,641 against. (An earlier version of this article had a 50 percent tally rejecting the proposition.)

Candidates for Bedford Town Supervisor, Justice and Clerk are unopposed.


Lewisboro Supervisor
Peter Parsons (D, I, WF) won over Jason Krellenstein (R, C, REF) 61 percent to 39 percent.

Lewisboro Town Council (choose two)
Jane Crimmins (D, WF) and Tony Goncalves , D, WF received more votes than incumbents Frank Kelly (R, C, I, REF) and Peter DeLucia (R, C, I, REF) for the two open seats.

Candidates for Lewisboro Receiver of Taxes and Town Justice are unopposed.


Pound Ridge Supervisor

Kevin C Hansan (D, I, WEP) defeated incumbent Richard B Lyman (R, C), 52 percent to 48 percent.

Pound Ridge Town Council (choose two)
Daniel Paschkes (D, I, WEP) and Diane Briggs (D, I, WEP) were the top two vote getters over incumbents Bonnie Schwartz (R, C) and and Peter Marchetti Jr. (R, C).

Pound Ridge Receiver of Taxes
Incumbent Deborah Damascus (R, C) won re-election over Ashley Scronic (D, I, WEP).

The candidate for Pound Ridge Town Justice is running unopposed.
