Bedford PD Warns Of Tax Payment Scam

BEDFORD, NY — The Bedford Police Department is alerting the public to scams that direct taxpayers to send their payments to fraudulent addresses. On a Facebook post, the department said there are only two valid mailing addresses for the Town of Bedford tax payments.

They are as follows:

• Binghamton, NY 13902-5270

• Town of Bedford Tax Receiver
• 321 Bedford Rd.
• Bedford Hills, NY 10507

As a reminder, the police department said when making payments by check, such as tax, mortgage, insurance, etc., it is recommended that they be dropped into a a USPS secure collection (blue) mailbox or hand delivered to your local post office.
