Bedford Playhouse Stands to Receive $300,000 Matching Grant

The group will update residents Wednesday on its fundraising and other issues during a meeting at the Katonah Village Library at 7 p.m.

Friends of the Bedford Playhouse, a group seeking to turn the former movie theater into a film art house, announced this week that it is poised to receive hundreds of thousands of dollars in matching funds if it can raise the same.

“If we can raise $300,000 in pledges in February, the Thompson Family Foundation will match it with $300,000!” the group wrote on its website. “That’s $600,000! Make your pledge today and help spread the word!”
