Bedford Village Frame Shop & Gallery is celebrating their 10-year anniversary featuring local artists with a wine & cheese event

Bedford Village Frame Shop & Gallery is celebrating their 10-year anniversary. To mark this retail milestone in Bedford Village, owner Linda Johnson is pleased to announce a special gallery opening and cocktail reception.
The anniversary celebration is Friday, November 3rd, from 6-9pm at Bedford Village Frame Shop & Gallery on 15 Court Street in Bedford Village. Wine and appetizers will be served. 914-234-4811.
Through the years, Linda has created lasting customer relationships in which she takes great pride. From surpassing expectations for the interior designer who wants something extraordinary for a client, to taking great care in honoring a child’s artwork or school certificate that needs framing, Linda caters to every need. Painstaking attention is given to every detail of design and craftsmanship for each frame created at the shop. The hand-selected photography frame selection is curated specifically for discriminating customers. Linda has created an inviting, yet professional place for people to bring their treasures.

In wishing Linda congratulations, her vendor associate Dominick DiMirco wrote: “Over the last 10 years her framing skill, creativity, eclectic selections, warm personality and loyalty to her customers and me has proven to be a successful combination.” This sentiment is echoed in congratulatory messages from many customers and associates.
Linda thinks of framing in a much deeper way than simply four pieces of wood and a mat. “Framing art for my customers is a process starting with the design session. I am happy to hear the customer’s ideas first, have a discussion about how they feel about the art, where it will be displayed, if it is a decorator piece or a treasure to be framed for its own sake. I take much pleasure in presenting the customer with the finished product.”

Linda enjoys creating beautiful framing that can make a piece of artwork become part of the décor that enhances the space in which is hangs. Bringing her passion and creativity into opening Bedford Village Frame Shop & Gallery 10 years ago has been a dream fulfilled. “I greatly appreciate my dedicated and loyal customers, my associates and supportive family, and amazing gallery artists. It’s because of them that we have reached this milestone and are so honored to be celebrating our 10-year anniversary.”
Gallery artists for the event include Beth Boyland, Ed Little, Connor McGinn, Claire Melbourne, Mollie McNealy, and others. The environment that surrounds us, and what nature displays on a daily basis, inspires many of the pieces. Various painting styles and techniques are explored in the new works being featured.
“I’ve been fortunate to represent diverse and talented artists over the years in my gallery and I’m delighted to bring them forward to the community for our 10-year celebration event where guests can meet some of the artists,” Linda said.
One of the artists, Mollie McNealy, creates “colorfield moments” with expanses of lush color and texture filled with emotion. Mollie displays an exquisite sense of design and color in her paintings. Each one of her pieces holds a unique experience in itself. Her work has been exhibited and is held in private collections around the world, from New York to Tokyo to The Netherlands. Bedford Village Frame Shop & Gallery is displaying paintings from Mollie’s Silent Series, 2017.
