Bedford Woman Charged with Driving Drunk in Carmel
Police initially stopped her for speeding.
BEDFORD, NY — State police arrested a Bedford woman and charged her with drunk driving.

Melissa A. Davis-Dawson, 40, was stopped Thursday on Stillwater Road in Carmel for speeding, police said.

An investigation found that she was intoxicated at the time, police said.
Davis-Dawson provided a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.22 percent.

She was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
Davis-Dawson was issued appearance tickets to appear July 25 in the Town of Carmel Court.
