Candidates With Experience Wanted for Bedford Planning Board, Housing Committee

The Bedford Town Board will be interviewing candidates for appointment to a vacancy on the Planning Board and for a vacancy on the Blue Mountain Housing Development Corporation, the town’s affordable housing affiliate.

An architect or an engineer experienced in reviewing plans would be the preferred appointee for the Planning Board position.

A property manager or owner experienced with maintenance, repairs and related cost estimates would be the preferred appointee for the Blue Mountain position. According to the town’s website:

Blue Mountain has developed and renovated single-family homes and apartments and is involved with the operation of the Doyle House on North Katonah Avenue, Katonah, and occupant selection for the Doyle House, and for selected units at the Bedford Lake, and Lakeside at Bedford apartment and condominium complexes in Bedford Hills. On behalf of the Town, the Board also seeks out opportunities to create housing units under the Town of Bedford Fair Housing Units Ordinance. §125-29.6
