Caramoor@KMA 2014: Live Music in the Sculpture Garden at the Katonah Museum of Art

A Series of Outdoor Concerts, from Two of Westchester’s Top Cultural Institutions, June 11, July 16, July 30

Co-produced by the Katonah Museum of Art and the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, this lively series of concerts brings together three musical genres: American roots, classical, and jazz.  Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket and picnic dinner to enjoy in the Katonah Museum of Art’s beautiful Sculpture Garden.  Doors open at 5:30 pm, concerts start at 6:30 pm.

June 11 - Cricket Tell the Weather (American Roots):
A family-friendly, five-piece string band whose members share a love of American traditional music. July 16 - PROJECT Trio (Classical): PROJECT Trio is a passionate, high energy chamber music ensemble comprised of three virtuosic composer/performers from Brooklyn, New York who blend their classical training with an eclectic taste in musical styles. July 30 - Alexis Cole Quintet (Jazz): With a deep contralto voice “as smooth and dark as the richest espresso,” award-winning jazz vocalist Alexis Cole has made an impressive impact. The Jazz Times says “Cole’s easy sense of swing is strongly reminiscent of Sarah Vaughan,” and the Swing Journal raves, “we've been waiting for the next great singer to come along, and finally...
