Chabad Jewish Center Fire Cause Determined

BEDFORD, NY — An electrical fire at the Chabad Jewish Center on Railroad Avenue in Bedford Hills Tuesday means that Shabbat morning services will be moved for the next few months. According to a post on Facebook, Rabbi Arik Wolf and his wife Sara said Shabbat morning services will take place in the Katonah Memorial House, with the Torah reading at 10:30 a.m. and a kiddush of gratitude at noon.

They said arson investigators determined that the cause of the fire was electrical. The cord for the water cooler was lodged underneath it, and friction caused the fire.
