Christmas Week Schedule For Metro-North

Now that the Christmas getaway day is behind us, we still have the holidays to consider travel-wise. So why not use Metro-North? The railroad has special Christmas/New Year's Holiday Timetables with schedules for Christmas Day (Tuesday, Dec. 25), New Year's Eve (Monday, Dec. 31), and New Year's Day (Tuesday, Jan. 1).

Christmas Eve falls on Monday, Dec. 24, and an expanded Saturday schedule will be operated.

On Christmas Day, Tuesday, Dec. 25, we will operate a special holiday schedule with hourly service on most line segments, and regular weekend service on all branch lines.

For the week between Christmas and New Year's (Wednesday-Thursday, Dec. 26-27), Metro-North will operate a weekday schedule with reduced AM Peak service and additional inbound service operating in the late morning. PM peak service will operate normally.
