Connecticut Man Accused Of DWI On Route 35: NYSP

LEWISBORO, NY — New York state police in Troop K said they removed 11 impaired drivers from the roads over the weekend.

On June 28, State Police from SP Lewisboro arrested Ilia Demiraj, 67, of Stratford, Connecticut, for driving while intoxicated. He was traveling on State Route 35 in the town of Lewisboro, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police alleged.
