You're invited to the 52nd annual Lewisboro Library Fair, one of the largest community events in Lewisboro. The Book and Toy Pre-Sale, FOR RESIDENTS ONLY, is Thursday, September 27 from 5 to 9 pm. The Book Pre-Sale continues Friday, September 28 from 9 am until 4 pm. In addition to the giant Attic Treasures, Book and Toy sales, the Fair also features a Silent Auction, kids’ games, live music and local vendors. There will be food from the Lions Club, the Horse & Hound and Le Chateau.
The Fair’s Battle of the Bakers contest is back with a quest to find the best muffin or pie baker in the area. Cooks of all ages are welcome to submit their best or most unusual fruit pie or muffin for consideration. Note – the item must be your original recipe (no mixes allowed) and should not require refrigeration. Please bring your entries to the Bake Sale Tent by noon on Fair Day for judging. If you want to pre-register or have any questions, please contact Maureen Koehl at funnyfarm2.ss@verizon.net or 763-3326. All entries will be sold at the Bake Sale Tent after judging. We are seeking additional donations of baked goods for our Bake Sale Tent. If you have a favorite homemade treat you’d like to donate (breads, cakes, cookies, pies), please bring it by the Bake Sale Tent on the day of the Fair, or call Rita Schaffer to arrange for a pick-up – 763-8149. Our baked treats sold out by 1 pm last year, so we can never have too many!
The Concours d’Elegance car show is sponsored by Estate Motors of Goldens Bridge. Automobiles ranging from show cars to "backyard classics" are invited to participate.
