Four Winds Employee Charged With Stealing $40K From Hospital

A employee was arrested Wednesday for allegedly falsifying business records multiple times over the past four years, allowing her to steal over $40,000 from the mental health facility in Cross River.

New York State Police charged Donna Rubino, 49, of Wingdale, NY, with third-degree grand larceny, a D felony, after their investigation of a reported fraud. Rubino was employed as the hospital's director of patient accounts for the last 26 years.

Rubino was arrested by Inv. John Rodriguez of the NYSP Bureau of Criminal Investigation and arraigned today by North Salem's Judge Ralph Mackin, and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Rubino is scheduled for an appearance in Lewisboro Town Court on April 30 at 7 p.m.
