Harvey’s Kim Bernstein Gets League Honor

We thank the Harvey communications department for the below submission and congratulate Kim on her all-star honor:

Katonah - The Harvey School’s Kim Bernstein has been named to the Western New England Softball All-Star team. Bernstein, a catcher, has played four years for Harvey, the last three as a team captain.

This season Bernstein, a Bedford Corners resident, batted .679 on 19 hits. She led her team in RBIs with 16 and scored 15 runs. Her hits included four doubles, one triple, and one home run, a grand slam.

Although Harvey’s record this season was 2-9, Bernstein was a major factor in helping the Cavaliers win two consecutive HVAL Championships in 2010 and 2011.

Baseball

The below is tonight's playoff semifinal schedule for the Bedford-Pound Ridge Baseball Association according to its website:

Minors

5:45 p.m. at PRES Nationals vs. Tigers

 6 p.m. at BVMP River Bandits vs. Bulls

Youth Lax

Fox Lane Youth Lacrosse held its second-annual Laxin4Tony Jamboree this past weekend, a chance for some of the area's younger lacrosse players to play against teams from around the region.
