Hudson Valley Native Continues Winning On 'Jeopardy!'
Will 13 be a lucky number for the man who hails from Westchester?

POUND RIDGE, NY — Cuttlefish didn’t scuttle the current “Jeopardy!” champ. Austin Rogers, a native of Pound Ridge, won for the 12th consecutive time on the popular game show. His earning for the Wednesday, Oct. 11 show was $16,300, bringing his total to $411,000.
All the contestants got the Final Jeopardy question right.
- The category: Visual Vocabulary
- The answer: A Latin word for a sea creature, in photography, it’s a color that conveys nostalgia.
- The question: What is sepia?
- Fun fact: The Latin word for cuttlefish is sepia.
Rogers is a bartender currently living in Manhattan. He is a graduate of Fox Lane High School.

He said he buys all his clothes from thrift shops, because people on the upper East Side throw out perfectly good clothing.
For his 13th appearance on “Jeopardy!” Thursday, Oct. 12, Rogers will be challenged by Scarlett Sims, a stay-at-home mom from Oak Ridge, TN and Sean Chong, a medical student from Silver Spring, MD.

“Jeopardy!” is broadcast at 7 p.m. Monday through Friday on WABC-TV Channel 7.
