John Jay HS Poetry Champs Compete at Regional Level

John Jay High School’s 2016 Poetry Out Loud competition winner, Jessica Moss, along with runner-up Isaiah Blum, represented the school at the regional level of the Poetry Out Loud competition on Feb. 2 at Purchase College, according to the Katonah-Lewisboro School District.

“Both of the students made it to the highly selective third round and in total were required to recite three poems by memory,” said JJHS English teacher Jeanetta Bryant. “The students did a fantastic job at the competition.”
