Key Labor, Law Enforcement & Environmental Groups Endorse Covill
Westchester County Legislator's Experience & Legislative Accomplishments Demonstrate Qualifications for Second Term

A group of diverse labor, law enforcement and environmental organizations have endorsed Democratic Westchester County Legislator Kitley Covill for re-election in District Two this year, confirming that Covill’s experience and record of legislative accomplishment qualify her for a second term.
"I greatly appreciate the support of these major groups,” says Covill. “They're advocating for us on key issues that matter because they value a hardworking, independent legislator who knows how to deliver for our communities and get results”.

CSEA Local 1000 AFSCME, AFL- CIO, whose Southern Region Political Action Committee acknowledges Covill’s “interests in the issues affecting workers and her commitment to addressing the needs of all hard-working men and women” in Westchester County.
Building and Construction Trades Council of Westchester and Putnam Counties, NY – AFL-CIO, representing over two dozen construction unions and more than 30,000 members.

Westchester County Police Benevolent Association, who concluded Covill’s “record of accomplishment and commitment to the law enforcement community are of tremendous importance to the people of Westchester County” and is confident she “will be a fair, honest and effective legislator”.
Westchester County Correction Officers’ Benevolent Association, who promotes the welfare of county corrections officer members and aids them in their need for mutual benefits and protection.
The League of Conservation Voters, who advocates for sound environmental laws and policies, holds elected officials accountable for their votes and actions, and elects pro-environment candidates who champion its priority issues.
Additional endorsements will be announced by Covill’s campaign in the coming weeks.
This fall, for the first time, registered voters in Westchester County will have an additional nine days to cast their ballot, starting on October 26 and leading up to Election Day on November 5. Details are available from the Westchester County Board of Elections. Westchester County Board of Legislators District Two includes Bedford, Lewisboro, Mount Kisco, North Salem, Pound Ridge and Somers in Northern Westchester.
